Direct Sales – What Are Filler Advertising Packs?

I am often asked “What are filler ad packs?” by other Direct Sales Consultants. Filler Ad Packs are also known as Filler Advertising Packs but for the sake of this article we will use the common usage term of Filler Ad Packs.

Direct Sellers started making up Filler Ad Packs a few years ago as a means to market their Direct Sales Businesses.

Let me explain what they are and then give you a few ideas on what you can do to make your own creative filler packs.

Filler Ad packs are little zipper close bags measuring approximately 3 inches by 5 inches in size. Some people do use non-zipper close bags but then you will need a ribbon, staple, or other item to close your bag. Once you make up several of your little Filler Ad Packs, you will want to find other Direct Sales consultants to swap Filler Ad Packs with. That consultant will hand out your Filler Ad Packs at her home parties and with her customer orders and you will do the same with your customers.

It’s a win-win situation for both consultants involved as it is getting your business information out there to new people you might not of reached on your own.

Enclosed in the little bags are a few things such as:

Business Card
Discount Coupon
Sample of a Product (or) a little promotional giveaway item

Reverse Marketing Definition

You hear a lot about Reverse Marketing these days both positive and negative.

Being that it is a very valid form of both marketing and lead generation, I figured I would shed some light on it to give you a better understanding.

First of all, I have found that most people I’ve spoken with who have anything negative to say about Reverse Marketing really do not understand what it is or how it works.

Reverse Marketing, by definition, is when a sales person or a recruiter contacts a potential prospect through the contact information in his or her existing advertising.

For example…someone selling advertising might browse through advertisements in competing magazines and call the business owners who placed those ads to sell them more advertising in his own magazine. This is a very common approach to prospecting used by many “main stream” companies to gather fresh prospects…and it can work for you too. In fact, it works so well, that it is responsible for more than 90% of my own prospecting efforts in network marketing and direct sales.

How would you like to be able to generate more qualified leads than you can ever contact without having to spend a dime in advertising?

How would you like to completely eliminate your advertising budget all together?

How would you like to never have to buy leads again?

The leads you will generate through reverse marketing are better, more qualified, and more responsive than any lead you will ever purchase.

Who would you like to have in your downline?

People who are just “looking”?

Curiosity seekers? Or do you want people who are action-oriented individuals and who are truly serious about building a business?

If you answered the latter, then reverse marketing is a must for you to learn and master.

Reverse marketing is very easy to learn how to do. In fact, with only three simple questions you can get just about any serious business person interested in what you have to say!

If I can show you how to get better and faster results with your business while spending less time and money building it, would you be interested in knowing how to do that?

If I can show you how to generate more leads than you can ever call without spending a dime, would that be of interest to you?

If you had the opportunity to learn how to build your business from one of the most successful marketing experts on the planet, would you pass that up?

There is nothing “under handed” or “unethical” about reverse marketing either. People who would say that or allude to that have never used it properly and have never truly understood how it works.

For example, if you are building a business and I call you through one of your ads and ask you if you would be interested in knowing how to generate more leads for your business than you could ever talk to without spending a dime, you would be interested to speak with me…you know you would…and so would every other truly serious business person out there.

You are simply finding your customers in a targeted manner. The best way to find people who are action oriented business people is to contact people who are currently taking action. People who are advertising and promoting their products and opportunities are definitely action oriented people…the kind of people you want to talk to.

People call me on the phone ever day through my ads to tell me about their advertising products, opportunities…etc. I don’t get upset with them and hang up. I ask them what they have to offer and use that opportunity to create a new business relationship. Then I show them what I have to offer that can assist them in building that business.

I’ve coached people for years in the area of network marketing and direct sales. One for one I help them save money by generating their own leads through reverse marketing and make more money because the leads they do generate are better and more responsive than the ones they purchase or advertise for.

One Form Of Marketing That’s Better Than The Other

Do you know what “marketing” is? Marketing is the process of finding a market, and promoting your products and services to this market. When you do such a thing, some people will jump on your offer right away, and some will need to be reworked. But at the end of the day, if you’ve done your marketing right, you’ll have a group of loyal customers that you can sell to each and every month for more additional sales and profits.

Honestly, when it comes to marketing, there are really 2 different ways to promote your products. These 2 ways are strikingly different when you really take a look at them and see how they work. In my opinion, one option works extremely better than the other, and it has the power to totally turn a business around without hesitation. Would you like to know what these 2 options are? I’m sure you do. These are the 2 options:

1) Direct response marketing
2) Brand marketing

I listed “direct response marketing” first because it’s my preferred choice of marketing my products and services. The biggest distinction about direct response and brand marketing is that direct response ads have contact information in the ad to place an order or to acquire a free report, and brand marketing doesn’t.

All brand marketing does is that it takes your ad, places it on one page, and it may have one picture that covers the entire page, and after the image is a one line slogan about a business. If this sounds ridiculous to you, then I completely know how you feel. Nobody should be marketing this way because this form of “brand awareness” will simply leave your ads in a wastebasket.

But with direct response, for the same full page ad, you can get a prospect’s attention with your headline, get them to read your story or your opportunity, rouse up their emotions, and get them to take advantage of your free offer at the end of the ad. This is a much better approach than the brand marketing example I gave above.

If you’re not using direct response marketing in your business today, you’re missing out on a lot of profits, and you’re not-knowingly losing a lot of money due to your adventures with brand marketing. How did you get your first understand about marketing and building your brand? Did you learn it from a college professor? Did you hear it on TV one day? Did you hear from a billionaire who states that business is easy? How did you ever stumble upon this concept?

Well no matter how you came across this idea, you should know that it doesn’t work whatsoever. Use direct response marketing instead and you’ll find yourself with a lot of money flowing your way.

If an ad is working, and you have proof that it’s working, continue to roll out with this ad without fail. Keep running ads and make sure that you’re selling to your backend customers also.

Use these tips to have the kind of marketing success that you desire in your business.

Good luck with using these marketing tips to your advantage.
